Q. What is light treatment for wrinkles?

A. Restylane is a non surgical method of treating fine lines around the eyes which has been found to give amazing results.

It was born of the Paterson lamp which has been used over a long period of time along with a special cream to treat superficial skin cancers. A side effect noticed was the disappearance of wrinkles which caused patients to request the same treatment for the opposite side to match up the good effect on the cancer treated side.

The Treatment consists of delivering pure spectral light via a lamp in a controlled manner to produce results.

Q. What does the treatment consist of?

A. As a rule of thumb, ten treatments, lasting 20mins each side, are carried out on alternate days over a period of three weeks. However, skin types may vary and the treatment is individually prescribed depending on response.

Q. How does it work?

A. The light treatment has been found to stimulate natural collagen formation which is lasting. This treatment, therefore, is a permanent improvement and only four "top-up" treatments yearly may be required to keep the improvement unlike other "filler" treatments which require to start from scratch once the initial improvement is lost.

There is no miracle cure for ageing skin, but this is a totally natural one and the cheapest so far.
