| Q. What
is the excess bulk in my breast made up of ?
A. It is
a combination of fibrous breast tissue
and of fat in variable proportion. This is why, some are
very easily correctible by liposculpture when there is a
preponderance of fat. When fibrous tissue is the main constituent,
it is more of a struggle for the surgeon and could even
come to open surgery.

Q.
What is liposculpture ?
A. In brief,
liposculpture is the introduction of a metal cannula to
suck out the contents of the breast, thereby reducing its
size. It can be performed under either local or general
anaesthesia and does not require an overnight stay in hospital,
provided a pressure garment is worn postoperatively.
