A. This is not a small procedure and
can take around three hours to perform.

How long will I have to stay in hospital ?
A. Two nights in hospital
is usual, as is the use of drains to ensure collections
of blood or fluid do not occur post operatively.
No one is too young or too
old for the procedure although it is a good idea, if possible,
to complete child bearing before surgery if intending to
breast feed. All this will be discussed in detail at consultation
with the surgeon.
