Q. What are the complications of the procedure ?
A. Scarring and capsular contracture can occur apart from any others which will be discussed at your consultation. Unfortunately every cut in the body is repaired by scar tissue. The extent to which you will scar depends, not only on surgical technique but on your particular skin characteristics. Capsular contracture occurs much less commonly now with the new, improved textured variety of implant used. Both conditions are treatable. A full discussion takes place at consultation with your surgeon. Ring 01392 874724 for an appointment. |
