Q. What are the advantages
of using Autocollagen?
A. Autocollagen is taken from your
own body and therefore cannot cause an allergy. Therefore
no test is required. Moreover, being your own, your body
recognises it as such and does not seek to reject it thus
losing the improvement gained from collagen injection. Whatever
is injected, remains where it is placed with lasting results..
Q. Will a single treatment suffice?
A. This will depend on the initial
problem. Also, the collagen is mixed with a certain amount
of fluid which gets reabsorbed. Therefore, the initial injection
is an over correction. Sometimes this suffices. Usually,
it is possible to take enough to store for later "top-ups".
Q. What do I do next in order
to go ahead with this treatment?
A. Ring the number on the main page
to make an appointment for a consultation to discuss your
specific needs. Any questions you have can be discussed
in full then

Q.
Where is the collagen taken from?
A. The collagen is taken
from where it is most abundant - the lower back. The deep
layer of skin at this site is the thickest in the body and
contains enough collagen to transplant elsewhere.
Q. How is the collagen
taken?
A. After injections to de-sensitise
two areas approximately 5" by 2" on your back,
collagen is removed with a needle and processed by washing.
This is then injected where it is most needed.
Q. What areas is
it possible to treat with autocollagen ?
A. This collagen can be transferred
to virtually any site in the body but the most popular are:
into the lines from nose to angle of mouth caused by the
passage of time, to the so- called "marionette"
lines between angle of mouth and jaw, to depressed scars
and to augment lips. Areas requiring greater amounts are
better treated by fat infill. |
